Boston Area Information
Boston is a vibrant, diverse city in the heart of New England. It is filled with world-class art museums, restaurants, sports teams, theater, and music as well as many historic sites and charming, walkable neighborhoods. There is easy access to several major highways and a short drive will get you to the beaches of Cape Cod, the White Mountains of New Hampshire, or the coast of Maine.
Our hospitals are located in two different Boston neighborhoods, located about 3 miles apart from each other. All are easily accessible by MBTA, Boston’s extensive public transportation network of subways, buses, commuter rail, and ferries.
- Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is located in Boston’s West End, near both the Charles River and historic Beacon Hill.
- Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Boston Children’s Hospital are all located in the Longwood Medical Area, along Brookline Ave and not far from famous Fenway Park.
This page on Boston Living is published by the MGB International Office, but contains some helpful information for anyone considering a move to Boston.
